What we do during your pet’s dental exam

Pets that have a likelihood of experiencing issues might require more frequent visits, to our clinic. We use equipment to offer the latest treatments and ensure the restoration of your pet’s oral health. To prioritize safety and minimize anxiety, dental examinations, and cleanings are conducted while the pets are under anesthesia. Here is an overview of our dental care process.

Assessment

Before the examination, we conduct a pre-anesthetic physical assessment for your pet. Blood and urine tests are performed to confirm that anesthesia is safe for your friend. In some cases, additional tests like chest radiography or an ECG may also be carried out. Once your pet is, under anesthesia we perform an examination of their mouth.

Treatment

First, we'll make sure to clean and polish your pet's teeth. Additionally, we'll take x-rays to assess the condition of their health. Based on these findings our experienced veterinarian will create a customized treatment plan that suits your pet's needs.

Prevention

After the assessment and treatment appointment, we may schedule a follow-up examination if necessary. During this visit, we'll have a conversation about incorporating teeth brushing into your pet's routine at home. We can also provide recommendations, for products that can enhance your friend's hygiene.
